Technology in Education
Technology in education is what whole my
major deal with, what the obstacles and how to cover them, the challenges that
teachers faced when they used and support their classes by using one or more
technologies. In sum, it means how to integrate technology into teaching
process to facilitate, enhance learning and mach Individual differences. In
fact, the technology not only the hardware or it is just software only as some
people think. It is combine all of them together. The use of technology in
education is increased and improves. There are no limits of using technology in
education; teachers can use it as many they want.

The advantages of using technology in education are:
1. Various
ways of improving teaching efficiency.
2. Helps
in protecting the environment.
3. Numerous
ways of accessing information.
4. Motivate
students' attitude toward learning.
5. Make
the content simple and interesting.
In
addition, as a result of integration the technology into learning process new
learning theory has been appear, which is connectivism theory. The connectivism
theory is a theory of learning which emphasizes the role of social and cultural
context.
In this
course, I use a lot of technologies that make me interesting and it motivate me
toward the subject maters. There are many examples that I use the technology at
whole the course, I will describe them briefly:
1. In the class discussion, the instructor asks us to do searching by
using computers to search about the discussion topics to make it more
understandable.
2. Learn new technologies & techniques for
teaching, such
as interactive white board, digital storytelling, web quest, prezi, and
Google application. All those technologies\ techniques provide me more
experiences to ways to use technologies\ techniques in classroom and how to
support the content and make it really fun.
My
experience with dealing with those technologies\ techniques:
1.
Interactive white board, this
the first time for me to create and design a lesson by using Activinspre
software. I face some problems when I and my group design the lesson because it
was new for us, so we learn it by ourselves using YouTube to watch some tutorials.
2. Digital storytelling, I
learn new web site that is for creating digital videos and share it to others.
This web site called animoto (the website URL = http://animoto.com/). It is very simple and easy
to use and can anyone to create short video.
3. Web quest, our instructor asks us to make the web quest. This
assignment allows us to use many of technologies at same time. The technologies
that we use it when we create the WebQuest are:

WebQuest itself is online activity that provides students with a
lot of resources and materials that they want it to complete their task that
their teachers give them.

Using the Wix web site to create the WebQuest. The Wix in free web
Builders that allow user to create and build their own site. It is very simple,
easy to use, and has many tools that make your site professional.

Using YouTube and Google search to collect the needed materials,
images and videos.
·
Using Photoshop software to design the header and footer of the
sites.
All this technology and other helps us to
complete our assignments on the time.
4. Prezi, the prezi is the online website that is for creating
presentation in professional way. This is not the first time to me use the
prezi. I use in other courses.
In addition, I this course we use SQU model. It is the place where all course
materials upload there.

In the future, I will apply my skills on creating lessons by using active inspire software because a lot of schools now have the interactive white board. Also, there are many technologies\techniques that I can use them. For example, e-mail, Google application such as Google docs, digital storytelling and doing exams online by using classmarker website. In addition, as I IT teacher, I should make workshops for the teachers who do not know how to use the technology inside the classroom or to create the activities for assessing students. Finally, it is necessary to inform the students to how using technology in good way that support their studying.
